| Educational Tutoring & Coaching ServiceBecause each child is unique and learns at his or her own pace, ETCS uses a one-to-one learner-centered approach to achieving academic success. This is accomplished by identifying the learner’s strengths, skills and motivations and building on them. My service is designed to enable students in grades one through eight to grow in learning skills, academics and confidence. I believe very strongly that all children can learn and achieve up to the maximum degree of their individual potentials provided the learning environment is adapted to their unique learning styles.
Whenever possible I integrate my efforts with those of the school and teacher in order to both support and dovetail with the classroom curriculum.
My background and experience includes teaching at all elementary levels (K-8), special education (neurologically and emotionally challenged) and I have a specialty in science (K-8). Additionally I was an administrator of a special education school and a principal of an elementary school (K-8) for 22 years. I hold teaching and administrative certifications and am a Life Coach Practitioner.
ETCS is a natural outgrowth of, and adjunct to, my Life Coaching & Mentoring Service. The service is based on a one-to-one interactive relationship that enables client to become more successful by tapping their own hidden resources and empowering them to achieve specific, personal or professional goals.
